Mina Kimes discussed the situation on First Take and acknowledged that she trusts Burrow to judge his own readiness. Still, his limited participation in practice has become a major concern.

“Yeah, I trust Joe Burrow's ability to assess his own health, his injury, his readiness. That said, it's concerning that he's limited in practice. That's what you're looking at, and it's especially concerning given the opponent. This isn't just the Texans defense. It's a Texans defense that was humiliated last weekend.”

Kimes believes Houston will enter this matchup with something to prove. The Texans surrendered 36 points to Buffalo, and their defense now faces another talented quarterback looking to attack them.

“That four-man rush is going to be devastating. So for me, that increases the pressure not just on Joe Burrow in this game, but the offensive infrastructure as a whole.”

That final point could prove crucial for Cincinnati. The Bengals cannot simply rely on Burrow to overcome his injury against a Texans front eager to bounce back.

Emmanuel Acho Has Already Raised Concerns About Joe Burrow’s Injury

Emmanuel Acho also delivered a harsh assessment of Burrow’s latest injury update. He questioned why the quarterback was already dealing with back tightness after an uneven Week 1 performance.

Acho described Burrow as someone who “specializes in being hurt,” while still acknowledging his elite talent. He also questioned whether Burrow could play through the issue if surgery is not required.

Now, Burrow must prove he can handle Houston’s pressure without allowing the injury to limit him. Cincinnati may have won its opener, but Week 2 presents a completely different challenge.
