Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is ready to win big, and he is not holding back. After a tough 6-11 season last year, Burrow believes the Bengals have the best roster this season.
When asked about his statement that the team has "everything we need," Joe Burrow revealed that he is pushing his teammates harder, knowing the roster's high potential.
"This offseason I really focused on trying to bring urgency to the room and try to just get everybody to understand the level of urgency that we have this year," Burrow said during a mandatory minicamp press conference on Wednesday.
"We have everything we need. We're deep at just about every single position on the team," Burrow added.
Burrow believes the Bengals have the roster to contend. That's why he's been pushing for more urgency throughout the offseason.

Cincinnati has missed the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, which helps explain why Burrow is emphasizing urgency despite his confidence in the roster.
"The level of play that's going to be required from every individual who steps on that field. I've tried to communicate that. I've tried to be a little more vocal in a mean way,” Burrow added.
Burrow even restructured his own contract to save the team $10 million, allowing management to bring in major defensive stars like Dexter Lawrence, Jonathan Allen, and Boye Mafe.
According to reports from The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr. The team’s executive vice president, Katie Blackburn, said Monday,
"We think they deserve another opportunity to prove that we can do what we hope we can do,"
Burrow's comments suggest he believes the Bengals have the talent to compete at a high level. His message throughout the offseason has been centered on matching that talent with a greater sense of urgency.
From Cool to Commanding: Joe Burrow's New Leadership Approach
Joe Burrow is famous for being one of the coolest, most relaxed quarterbacks in the NFL. But recently, the Cincinnati Bengals star admitted he is trying a new approach with his teammates: being mean.
“Yeah, but yeah, as I said, I'm just trying to bring urgency to every room that I step in and try to foster an environment of improvement,” he said
For Burrow, being mean does not mean being a bully. Instead, it means calling out mistakes immediately. If someone does not play up to the team's high standards, Burrow will tell them right then and there
According to Cleveland.com, the locker room is responding well so far.
Burrow noticed that the team’s overall energy and focus have already improved. He said his goal is to create an environment of constant improvement.
