The Bengals' big moves this offseason include signing WRs Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase to deals worth a combined $300 million. With Cincinnati doubling down on its core, questions about QB Joe Burrow's future and his relationship with the front office begin to surface.

Burrow addressed that topic on the Sports Seriously Podcast. The three-time Pro Bowler made it clear that his relationship with the front office remains in a good place.

"It's great, we always have a line of communication," Burrow said. "I wasn't happy with how the last several years have gone, they weren't happy with how the last several years have gone. So we have that in common, and we just want to try to put a good product on the field that we can go and win games, win championships, and be competitive."

Burrow made it clear that he is staying with Cincinnati. The Bengals' front office has been busy making big trades and signing new players to fix the team's weaknesses.

While Burrow is incredibly excited about these changes and believes this is the best group of teammates he has ever had.

“This is the most talented roster we’ve had since I’ve been here," Burrow said during a press conference, as per Yardbarker.

Burrow also gave credit to the front office for the way it handled the offseason. After taking plenty of criticism from fans and the media, he said the organization answered those concerns by being aggressive in free agency.

“The front office has taken a lot of heat from the fans, the public, the media,” he said. “We can put all of that behind us, they went and made it happen with free agency.”

With all the upgrades made to the roster, fans are hopeful that they will see a completely different style of play this season.

Cincinnati Bengals Hit The 300 Million Salary Cap For The First Time

The Cincinnati Bengals started the offseason with a massive $77.8 million in spending money. This huge budget came from the NFL’s $304 million total salary limit, plus $10.8 million the team saved from the year before, as per Bengalswire.

Even after some early roster changes, head coach Zac Taylor still had a strong $47.2 million left to spend right before the 2026 draft.

However, that extra cash disappeared fast because the front office went on a big spending spree to fix the defense.

The blockbuster signing of DT Dexter Lawrence, worth $28 million for two years, per Spotrac. Even Burrow was impressed by Lawrece's addition.

"And then obviously with Dexter, making a trade like that, that doesn't happen a ton in the NFL. So it's exciting to see."

They signed two star veteran players to huge contracts: defensive lineman Jonathan Allen for two years and $25 million, and edge rusher Boye Mafe for three years and $60 million.

On top of that, the team had to pay their new rookie class and take financial losses on their books for letting go of older stars Trey Hendrickson and Logan Wilson.

Now, the Bengals are heading into the summer with just $7.17 million left in open cap space, according to Michael Hull of Bengal.com.
