Joe Burrow is entering the 2026 season with renewed confidence, both in his health and in the Cincinnati Bengals' chances of competing for a championship.
According to Stripe Hype, the Bengal quarterback had shared an encouraging update on his recovery during his interview with USA Today's Sports Seriously on June 3.
"It's the best I've felt in a long time. I had some tough years with injuries and stuff, and it took a while to get my body the way I wanted it, but now I'm in a really good place," Burrow said.
Burrow reflected on his recovery process after last season's turf toe injury and explained why this offseason has felt different from the previous ones.

"I was able to keep working out and staying in shape, keeping my body strong," Burrow told Sports Seriously. "The older I get, the more knowledge I have about my body to make sure I'm doing the right things to put myself in position to be as strong, fast and powerful as I can be."
The positive update comes as expectations continue to rise in Cincinnati. The Bengals strengthened their defense by adding players such as Dexter Lawrence, while also bringing all 11 offensive starters back from last season.
Burrow's career has included setbacks ranging from a torn ACL to wrist and calf injuries. But his latest comments suggest he is entering training camp feeling fully prepared.
With a healthy quarterback, continuity on offense, and a major addition on defense, the Bengals are heading into the 2026 season with the pieces needed to compete with the AFC's top contenders.
And Burrow seems to agree that Cincinnati's energy is different this season.
Why Burrow Feels Different About 2026 Bengals
After adding several experienced veterans on both sides of the ball, the Bengals quarterback spoke about the confidence surrounding the team as preparations continue for the 2026 season.
According to ML Football, Burrow pointed to the experience many of the newcomers bring to Cincinnati while discussing the roster's new look.
"Have a lot of great players, a lot of veteran players who've been there and done that. And that's exciting for me, bringing some guys in here that have produced at a high level for a long time," Burrow said on Sunday.
The Bengals are strengthening their defense while keeping their offensive core together. To that end, they have signed Dexter Lawrence, Bryan Cook, Boye Mafe, and Jonathan Allen.
Burrow also talked about the championship experience within the group and how it has influenced the atmosphere around the team.
"Guys that have won Super Bowls, multiple Super Bowls, been there and done that. So, you got to take it one day at a time, but I have a great feeling about this year," Burrow said on Sunday. "There's a vibe in that locker room that we haven't felt for a while. And that's really exciting for me and certainly fuels me and motivates me to be better."
With training camp approaching, optimism is growing around Cincinnati's revamped roster.
