Authorities have made additional arrests in connection with the burglary at Joe Burrow's Ohio residence in 2024. The latest update adds another layer to a case that has been developing over the past few years.

According to WHIO.com reports, new arrests have been confirmed in Argentina. Argentinian authorities have now arrested three more individuals linked to the case. The report names them as Ignacio Zuniga Cartes, Bastian Jimenez Freraut, and Pablo Zuniga Cartes.

The suspects are currently in Chile, where extradition proceedings to the United States are expected to follow. Burrow's case is scheduled for a hearing on July 8 in Ohio’s Southern District.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback was playing the Dallas Cowboys in an early- December “Monday Night Football” match-up when multiple individuals broke into his house.

In the months that followed, the case expanded across different countries, with law enforcement tracking a wider network tied to the incident.

According to Total Pro Sports, the police had earlier arrested four men. In January 2025, after Burrow's memorabilia was found in the vehicle. The FBI later accused two additional arrest the following month as the investigation continued to develop.

In Burroe's case, his home was not empty during the break-in. Model Olivia Ponton was present at the time, a detail that drew public attention.

Speaking to reporters in December 2024 following the incident, Burrow expressed frustration over the loss of privacy.

“That’s the only part I’m upset about,” Burrow told reporters in December 2024. “All my business is out there. I got news vans camped out by the house. It s****… The whole world knows where I live now. That hasn’t been very fun to deal with.”

According to Total Pro Sports, similar incidents were also reported involving other NFL stars, including Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, who were targeted in separate cases.

The burglary also unexpectedly brought Burrow's private life into the spotlight as Olivia Ponton was inside the residence during the break-in. Her presence later revealed a previously unknown relationship, though police initially identified her as an "employee."

Joe Burrow Called Out Over a Rumored Relationship

According to The Spun, rumors surrounding a possible relationship between Joe Burrow and Olivia Ponton have resurfaced following reports that the pair spent time together at the Kentucky Derby.

While neither Burrow nor Ponton has publicly confirmed a relationship.

Speaking on the rumoured relationship, Barstool Sports personality Maria Ciuffo was not happy with the Bengals quarterback for appearing distant from Ponton in public photos despite the widespread speculation.

"I'm so sick of Joe Burrow acting like he’s not dating Olivia Ponton", said Maria Ciuffo, according to The Spun. "He’s walking four feet ahead of her in every photograph. I hate that."

For now, neither Burrow nor Ponton has responded to the comment, leaving the speculation surrounding the relationship unchanged.
