The Cincinnati Bengals face a familiar challenge in Week 7 as they prepare for a divisional clash on the road.

Meanwhile, Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase spoke to reporters ahead of Sunday’s game. He was asked about facing former teammate Trey Hendrickson.

Chase said he expects an entertaining matchup:

“Can be cool, I think it's fine.”

Asked why, Chase pointed to their time together in Cincinnati, also noting Hendrickson’s reputation for trash talk on the field:

“I mean, we all know Trey. We had him here at practice; we know he loves talking trash. Great player, you know what I'm saying? At the end of the day, I'm sure we're gonna love it. He's gonna love it too."

Chase’s remarks suggest he expects a competitive but enjoyable reunion. He also acknowledged Hendrickson’s ability, despite now facing his former teammate across the line of scrimmage.

Bengals prepare for road showdown against former teammate Trey Hendrickson

Trey Hendrickson joined the Ravens after five seasons with Cincinnati. He recorded 61 sacks during his Bengals tenure and earned four Pro Bowl selections.

His move puts him against his former team in the AFC North. Baltimore hosts Cincinnati on Sunday, October 25, in Hendrickson’s first game against the Bengals as a Raven. The matchup adds another storyline to a divisional contest between teams looking to improve their standing.

Hendrickson’s familiarity with Cincinnati will undoubtedly add another compelling layer to this divisional Week 7 showdown.
