Former NFL wide receiver Stevie Johnson has taken a sly dig at the Cincinnati Bengals with his recent tweet. Johnson played for the Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, and San Diego Chargers during his time. Now, he's given a wild comparison between the Bills and Bengals.

Johnson shared his X post on the matter, giving out his statistic. According to his calculations, Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are inferior to the Bills' wide receivers. The Bengals insider Matt Fitzgerald countered that line of thinking.

"Mike Gesicki is a TEINO/TINO (Tight End In Name Only)," said Fitzgerald. "He had six catches for 86 yards and a score at Buffalo. Tee Higgins was concussed in that game and still had six grabs for 92 yards and two TDs. Despite Burrow's brutal luck and a rushing attack that was limited to 3.3 yards per carry on 19 attempts, he still completed 25 of 36 passes for 284 yards and four TDs for a 106.5 passer rating."

Fitzgerald didn't mince his words in his analysis on StripeHype. He went even further to say that Johnson's comment was nothing short of trolling.

He even talked about the Buffalo Bills' wide receiver DJ Moore being inferior to Cincinnati’s duo of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, which Fitzgerald did not agree with.

 "Sorry that you never had a winning season in Buffalo as a player," finished off Fitzgerald," Unlike Allen and his pedestrian pass-catchers, Burrow and the Bengals' dynamic duo have actually been to a Super Bowl."

Johnson might have been dismissive about the Bengals' wide receiver group, but he gave his full support to the Bills' wide receiver Keon Coleman.

The current season, 2026, is important for Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman's future. Coleman is coming off a 38-catch, 404-yard, four-touchdown 2025 season. To improve his game, he partnered with Stevie Johnson in the spring at the University of San Diego.

Johnson saw firsthand the body language of Coleman, which impressed him. Johnson shared the details with ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg.

"I thought he was going to be immature. I thought he was going to be, not a student of the game, just a very talented player with God-given skills," said Johnson, "But just right off the bat ... he was locked in, wanting to learn things, open to constructive criticism. He was asking questions."

Unlike 2024, Coleman did not get many starts last year. Compared to 12 starts in 2024, he only started 6 games in 2025, and still produced four touchdowns yet again this year.
