Bengals WR Tee Higgins Reveals the Two Legends He Modeled His Game After

Tee Higgins has been enjoying an outstanding season with the Cincinnati Bengals. The 27-year-old wide receiver has emerged as one of Joe Burrow's most reliable weapons, consistently producing explosive plays.
Through seven games, Higgins has recorded 43 receptions for 726 yards and four touchdowns. His 16.9 yards per catch highlights his ability to stretch defenses, while his combination of size, strength and polished route-running makes him particularly difficult to defend.
However, Higgins recently offered some insight into how he developed his playing style. During an appearance on his teammate Ja'Marr Chase's podcast, Chasing No 1, he sat down with legendary wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
While discussing his influences, Higgins revealed that Johnson and former Bengals star A.J. Green were the two players he looked up to growing up.
“No, I definitely can say I model some of my game after you man for sure. You know what I'm saying? You and AJ Green was the two receivers I definitely looked up to.”
The comparison makes plenty of sense. Both Johnson and Green were renowned for their size, exceptional catching ability and dominance in contested situations. Higgins has developed similar qualities, making him a formidable presence on the outside.
With those two legends serving as inspirations, Higgins has certainly developed into an elite receiver in Cincinnati.
