Bengals Reporter Urges Front Office to Get Joe Burrow Another Elite WR

The Cincinnati Bengals already boast one of the NFL's most dangerous passing attacks. Joe Burrow has an enviable collection of weapons, led by All-Pro-caliber receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, who give the quarterback two elite options on the outside.

However, one Bengals reporter believes Cincinnati could make its offense even more dangerous by adding another talented receiver. James Rapien has floated the idea of pursuing Arizona Cardinals wideout Marvin Harrison Jr., arguing that the former first-round pick could thrive in Cincinnati's pass-heavy system.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reportedly indicated that a Day 3 draft pick could be enough to land Harrison. Rapien believes the Bengals should seriously consider the move, even if Arizona demands a Day 2 selection.

"I said, hey, day two pick all day long I would be in on. And I still would," Rapien said.

He believes Harrison could benefit from joining an offense where Chase and Higgins command significant defensive attention. With those two stars drawing coverage, Harrison could find more favorable matchups while playing in an attack that spreads the ball around.

Rapien also suggested that Cincinnati could offer Harrison a refreshing change from his current situation in Arizona. The Bengals already have established weapons, but adding another high-level receiver could give Burrow even more flexibility and make the offense harder to defend.

Bengals Receive Positive Update on Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins

Cincinnati could face a major challenge in Week 5, with both Chase and Higgins carrying injuries into Sunday's matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Chase suffered a concussion against the Jacksonville Jaguars, while Higgins dealt with groin and neck issues during the same game.

There is some encouraging news, though. Chase returned to full practice on Friday but still needs clearance from concussion protocol, while Higgins also practiced fully after missing the previous two sessions. Both receivers remain questionable for the game.

Their availability could prove crucial for Burrow and the Bengals. If either star misses the matchup, Cincinnati's need for additional receiving depth becomes even more apparent.
