Cincinnati Bengals legend Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson has made a bold prediction before the team's Week 2 clash against the Houston Texans.

Ocho, who spent 10 seasons with Cincinnati, remains one of the most recognizable figures in the franchise's history. The former wide receiver finished his Bengals career with 751 receptions, 10,783 receiving yards and 66 touchdowns.

The six-time Pro Bowler is now backing his former team to produce another big offensive showing. Taking to X/Twitter, Ochocinco shared his bold prediction ahead of Sunday's Week 2 matchup.

“Can’t wait until Sunday & the Bengals put up 42 points 🤫,” he wrote.

The Bengals will look to build on their 33-27 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ocha is expecting Cincinnati to go nine points better against Houston.

His prediction also comes after the Texans conceded 36 points in their Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Cincinnati's offense could therefore face an opportunity to make another statement.

Bengals offense showed balance in Week 1 win

Cincinnati’s offense showed good balance in its season opener, keeping Tampa Bay’s defense from focusing on one area. The Bengals finished with 351 total yards and recorded 26 first downs during the 33-27 victory.

The passing game complemented a rushing attack that kept Cincinnati from becoming one-dimensional. The Bengals also converted eight of 14 third-down opportunities, helping them sustain drives.

That balance proved valuable late in the game, as Cincinnati controlled the ball during the final 3:19 to secure the win.

The performance gives the Bengals a solid foundation heading into Houston.
