The Cincinnati Bengals have faced questions about Joe Burrow’s game before their Week 2 matchup against the Houston Texans.

Meanwhile, Texans general manager Nick Caserio offered a candid yet detailed assessment of the Bengals quarterback.

He noted Joe Burrow’s ability to operate from the pocket while also creating plays with his legs. Caserio’s comparison with Josh Allen also highlighted how Burrow presented a different challenge from the pocket:

“Joe [Burrow] does a really good job of getting rid of the football, moving within the pocket. He presents different challenges than Josh Allen, not that he's necessarily not a runner, but Joe makes more of his plays from the pocket.”

The Texans GM then pointed to Burrow’s mobility:

“But he has the subtle ability to move & if there’s yards there to get with his legs, he has a sneaky athleticism where he can do it, so you sort of have to account for that.”

Caserio’s assessment highlighted the different ways Burrow can challenge Houston’s defense. The Bengals quarterback’s pocket presence and mobility could both factor into Sunday’s matchup.

Nick Caserio also pushed back against criticism of Cincinnati’s offensive line.

He highlighted the experience across the unit, including Orlando Brown Jr. and Amarius Mims at tackle. Caserio also praised Ted Karras for his intelligence, instincts, and toughness.

He then dismissed the notion that Cincinnati’s offensive line remains a major weakness, pointing to the group’s overall continuity and solidity:

“So honestly, I think there’s a little bit of a myth about their offensive line. It’s a good, solid group.”

That continuity could prove important as the Bengals prepare to face the Texans’ defense.
